Get. Wear. Sleep. Live.
Getting your RiPPLE:
Once you locate a provider, you will call and schedule your 1st appointment. The dentist will evaluate your sleep test and symptoms and the recommend the appropriate RiPPLE product. An impression will be taken and your ideal jaw position measured to find your ideal sleep position. This information will be sent to the manufacturing facility for processing. The final step will be to return to the office about 14 days later for your delivery appointment. At this appointment the dentist will seat the appliance and confirm its fit and comfort. You will also be educated on home care and use. Your custom made RiPPLE is ready to wear and to change the way you sleep.
Getting the Most out of Your RiPPLE:
The first few nights with the RiPPLE will take some getting used to. RiPPLE appliances are clear plastic, and have custom acrylic “ripples” to maintain your ideal jaw position while you sleep. Most users are completely adjusted to wearing their RiPPLE within a few days. The most important thing to do, is try to ignore it. The most effective sleep is achieved for most, by sleeping on your back, with no TV or distraction and with a comfortable room temperature.
Care of Your RiPPLE:
RiPPLE appliances are made of durable acrylic material and require very little maintenance. They should be cleaned after each use, using your regular toothbrush. If they are not cleaned regularly, you may notice a discoloration, similar to teeth discoloration. You can purchase over the counter appliance cleaning tablets that can be used once a week to help fight off staining and discoloration.
You are encouraged to take your RiPPLE with you to your regular dental cleaning appointments, this way your dentist is able to monitor fit. Often dental hygienists offer a cleaning service for night guards, so don’t hesitate to ask. RiPPLE retainers will last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years with proper care. You should avoid exposing them to high heat temperatures, or soaking them in any type of cleaner. Your RiPPLE is custom fit, and will not fit, if major dentistry is done.Patient Care Instructions
